May 12th: Material Return for Jr. K-11th Grade

Dear Coleman School District Families-

As we come to the end of the school year, I would like to commend you for your  dedication and hard work as we made our way through these unprecedented circumstances. As noted before, the last day for students  is Wednesday, May 13th; therefore, it’s time to make arrangements for turning in the last round of work, as well as those  materials that belong to the  District.

On Tuesday, May 19th, from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., families with students in Jr. Kindergarten-11th grade will drop off completed packets (if required), school-owned textbooks and/or school materials, including Chromebooks, chargers, and library books.

We kindly ask that your family follows the scheduled times:

  • Last name A-F will be from 7:30 a.m.- 9:30 a.m.

  • G-L  will be from 9:30 a.m.- 11:30 a.m.

  • M-R will be from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

  • S-Z will be from 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m.

Important Notes:

  • Appropriate social distancing measures will be strictly enforced. You  are encouraged to follow the CDC recommendations on wearing masks in public.

  • Drop off for all grades will occur in the elementary parking lot. Please park in the circle driveway.

  • Student’s completed  work needs  to be placed in a bag clearly labeled with his or her name and grade.

  • Paper learning packets will be graded by Grades 2-12 staff the week of May 26. This timeframe will allow our staff to reach out to families that still need to return materials

  • All textbooks and school-owned items need to be returned on this date. This includes library books, classroom books, Chromebooks and chargers.

  • In the case of inclement weather, the makeup date is Wednesday, May 20th.

  • For elementary students, tables will be set up by grade level.

  • Middle and high school students will begin at their Resource teacher to return their Chromebook and charger, as well as any library books.  They will then visit the other teachers on their schedule.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the District.

Sincerely,

Douglas P. Polomis, District Administrator
