New Teachers at Coleman Schools
The new school year brings new teaching faces to the Coleman School District. Pictured above are (1st row L to R): Jordan Angst, Speech and Language Pathologist, and Brenda Raught, Elementary Special Education Teacher. Back row are: Danielle Wyss, 3rd Grade, Robert Doersam, District Band Director, and Sherry Christianson, 4th grade. Ms. Angst is from the Green Bay area and attended UW-Milwaukee where she received her undergraduate and graduate degree. She knew early on in her life she wanted to become a Speech/Language Pathologist due to a family member's persistent stutter. Jordan enjoys spending time with family and friends and watching sports. She is glad to be back in the area and is estactic about pursuing her career at Coleman. Mrs. Raught comes to Coleman with a wealth of experience on the education spectrum. She has always had a passion to include students with special needs whether as a general education teacher, LD therapist, autism therapist, or special education teacher. Brenda's hobbies are music and reading. Her and her husband have 4 children and 3 grandchildren. Her mantra in all walks of life is: "Learning IS Fun!". Mrs. Wyss will be starting her first full year of teaching here at Coleman. She graduate from the University of Green Bay in 2015 with her bachelor's degree in education. Her and her husband reside in the rural Peshtigo along along with their 2 children. After working and volunteering in the education field for five years, she is excited to be a Coleman Cougar! Mr. Doersam is originally from South Wayne, Wisconsin. His first year at Coleman will be his 13th year of teaching. He is an active member of the National Band Association-WI Chapter and he currently serves on the state board at the Intercollegiate Honors Band Coordinator. Robert is excited to be the new band director at the Coleman School District. He is looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities his position brings along with continuing the tradition of band excellence past directors have created at Coleman. Mrs. Christianson comes to Coleman from the Townsend area. Her and her husband have four children. She and her family enjoy traveling, hiking, hunting, fishing, football, basketball, golf, and just spending time together. She received her elementary education degree from UW-Green Bay with a minor in environmental science. She previously taught 4th grade at the Wabeno School District and will be starting her 7th year of teaching. Sherry is very excited to be a part of the Coleman family!

At opening inservice on August 31 several Coleman School District employees were recognized for their many years of service at the district. Douglas Polomis, District Administrator welcomed back all the staff for the kick off of the 2017-18 school year and was honored to acknowledge these employees for their dedication. Student Information Update
**** OPENS ON MONDAY, AUGUST 21ST****

The Coleman School District is again using the Online Student Information process which allows the District to become “paperless.” This process eliminates the need for parents to fill out paper copies of the state-law required forms. If you currently have a student enrolled at Coleman School District, you are able to use this feature; unfortunately, you can not use it if your child is new to the district.

To get started, you must have a Family Access account. If you do not have Family Access or cannot remember your login, please do one of the following: contact the respective office after August 21st between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:30 pm or attend our Open House tutorials in room 321 (Business Computer Lab) on August 31st from 12:00 – 4:00 pm. Please contact the respective office with any questions: Elm/MS (920) 897-2525 or HS (920) 897-2291.

**Attention Dual/Split Families ONLY – Due to a default setting in Skyward, only the parent/guardian listed as Family #1 is able to sign the electronic signature portions of the Student Information Update At this time, we are unable to change this option. If you are the parent/guardian of family #2 and would also like to sign a paper copy of the documents, please contact the respective office to do so and it will be placed in the student’s file as well.

How to Update Student Information online using Family Access (Remember: this process takes the place of forms being sent home with your child).
· Go to the school’s website: www.coleman.k12.wi.us on or after August 21, 2017.
· Click on the FAMILY ACCESS icon
· Sign into Family Access using your Login ID and password. (If you can not sign in, see paragraph 2.)
· Click on Student Information Update – select student name and complete the 7 steps listed below:
· STEP 1 – To begin the process, click on a. Student Information in blue to the right of the screen. Make any necessary changes. When finished verifying your student’s information, click Complete Step 1a and move to Step 1b, continue this process thru step 1f.
· STEP 2 – Verify Ethnicity/Race. Click CONTINUE when you have verified your child’s ethnicity/race, click Complete Step 2 and move to Step 3.
· STEP 3 – Student Medication. Please check which medications listed your child may be given, answer the questions, then type the date completed and list any health problems, allergy notes medication notes or other medical concerns. Click Complete step 3 and move to Step 4.
· STEP 4 – Handbook Agreement – Please read the student handbook which is located on the school website under Our Schools>select appropriate school>Student Handbook. Click the check box to accept these terms, then type the current date, click Complete Step 4 and move to Step 5.
· STEP 5 – Data Directory – Click the check box to give consent, then type current date, type additional comments in box provided, click Complete Step 5 and move to Step 6.
· STEP 6 – Walking Field Trip – Click the check box to give consent, then type current date, click Complete Step 6 and move to Step 7.
· STEP 7 – click SUBMIT Student Information Update. You will be notified that your update was successfully completed.
