Donor Dash 5K Walk/Run

The Coleman High School Leadership Group is organizing The Donor Dash 5k Walk/Run to  raise awareness for organ donation.  They invite all walkers, runners, or just compassionate community members  to support this important cause. All proceeds from The Donor Dash will benefit two organizations, Donate Life Wisconsin and Restoring Hope Transplant House,  which assist those who are in need of or have received an organ donation.

The Donor Dash was created by students as  a way to show support for Mr. Layne Skrupky, a physical education teacher for Coleman School District.  Last summer, Mr. Skrupky underwent two liver transplants and received assistance from both Donate Life Wisconsin and Restoring Hope Transplant House.

The Donor Dash 5K Walk/Run will take place June 3rd. Registration begins at 7:30 AM,  just inside the Coleman High School doors; the 5K starts at 8:30 AM. Registration forms are available at the HS Office and can be returned to the HS Office prior to the race or directly to the registration table on race day. Please note, there is a $20 entry fee. To ensure you receive a t-shirt, turn in your registration and fee as soon as possible. Besides the 5K, there will also be bucket raffles and donation buckets to help fundraising efforts.

The Coleman High School  Leadership Group would like to thank those who have already  sponsored the Donor Dash and welcome the support any other interested businesses or groups. If you have any questions or would like to contribute in any way, please contact the Leadership Advisor, Mr. Andrew Kaufman at kaufman@coleman.k12.wi.us or 920-897-2291 ext 124.
